Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that it’s achhe din (good days) for some industrialists and bad days for poor people in Chhattisgarh.

“These forests, this land belong to you. You should get the benefit from it. Your children should also become industrialists, doctors and engineers,” he while addressing a public rally in Janjgir-Champa.

He said that that despite the land belonging to the poor people, the benefit goes to industrialists.

“We do not want such a development and won’t let it happen,” said Rahul.

He added that Modi ji keeps saying that achhe din are here. “I thought that I will visit here and directly ask the poor and adivasi people here if their good days are here or bad ones,” he said.

Taking a jibe at Modi, the Gandhi scion said that if PM decides to visit Chhattigarh after taking off Rs 15 lakh suit, then he will realise the benefits of MNERGA. “But he visits Australia and America,” Rahul added.

Continuing with his attack on Modi, Rahul said that elections are now over and Modi will visit the place after five years now when next polls are due.

On the second day of his visit, Rahul took out a foot march in a bid to reach out to farmers and tribals affected by land acquisition for various projects.

The Gandhi scion covered around 10 kilometers distance and pass through 10-12 villages in the foot march which started from Saradih village to Gabra village in Janjgir-Champa district.

Rahul, accompanied by farmers and party workers, began his foot march.
