Cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar sent over 8.5 million twitter fans in frenzy, yesterday when he posted a tweet which cheekily implied that the 41 year old could play for his IPL franchise Mumbai Indians this Sunday. However this turned out to be just another master-stroke from master blaster.

Sachin Tendulkar could make a comeback for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015. Tendulkar took to Twitter to tweet a picture, which gives hopes that a comeback could be just around the corner. There have been no official announcements as yet but his return to the squad will be a major boost for MI.

Tendulkar played for MI in the first six seasons amassing a total of 2334 from 78 matches at an average of 35. The master baster also has close to 35,000 international runs to his name, which includes 100 centuries as well. Tendulkar is still with the MI camp in the capacity of a mentor. Whether he will once again play for MI is yet to be seen.

MI lost their opening match of the IPL 2015 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by seven wickets in the opening match of the tournament at Eden Gardens. Tendulkar was a part of the MI side that lifted the IPL trophy in 2013.
