In a crucial development, a court on Thursday issued arrest warrant against Karthik Gowda, the son of Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda.
Karthik has been accused by Kannada actress Maithreyi of rape and cheating.
On August 30, Karthik had moved city sessions court for anticipatory bail in the case, which was filed by the actress after the 30-year-old son of the Union minister got engaged to another woman at Kushalnagar in Kodagu district.
The court had adjourned the case for further hearing to September 04 after issuing notice to the RT Nagar police station where the complaint was filed last week.
