A 15-year-old boy from Badlapur was detained by police on Wednesday on alleged charges of abducting a school girl and molesting her.
PSI Pallavi Nalawade of Badlapur (E) police station said that the incident occurred on March 30 when the victim, an eighth grade student was returning from school when two teenagers accosted her.
The girl was abducted in an autorickshaw following which she was taken to a room in Shirgaon where she was held captive and molested, her complaint said.
While one of the accused has been taken into custody, the other is still absconding.
The police have charged the duo under Sections 363,366 (A), 341, 354(A) of the IPC and also Sections 8 of the POCSO Act of 2012.
