School teachers held for abetment of suicide

Two school teachers were arrested for abetment of suicide of three students of Vagad international school. Victims dead bodies were found near the school on Wednesday morning. The primary postmortem reports stated that all three of students had beaten and they had head and neck injuries but exact cause of death is still unknown.

The accused has been identified as Ripushivam Gargs a Sanskrit teacher and PT teacher Sandip Palwa. Police said that three students failed in Sanskrit exams and hence they might have committed suicide. Police also found Cello tape marks on leg of the students.

The three students have been identified as Meet Suresh Chadwa (14) a resident of Malad, Prahul Narayan Patel (14) a resident of Borivali Gorai area and Kushal Nilesh Dagha (14) a Dombivali resident. The victims are students of Vagad Gurukul International School at Sakvar village at Virar and they used to stay at school hostel.

According to the police officials, “On 25th August Sanskrit teacher conducted exams. Teachers had warned that strict action will be taken against those students who fail in the exams. Meet, Prahul and Kushal failed to clear the examinations.”

Senior inspector B. Mane from Virar Police station said, “We have arrested two school teachers Garg and Palwa for abetment of suicide. Students had complained that PT Teacher Palwa used to beat many students regularly. In primary postmortem report we have found same injuries on the bodies of three students but cause of death is still unknown. We are waiting for the further report which will arrive in two days. We have recovered CCTV footages from the school.”
