VHP leader Ashok Singhal on Friday said that self-styled godman Asaram has been framed in the Jodhpur sexual assault case of a minor girl as part of a conspiracy for making statements against the Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Notably, Singhal had met Asaram in Jodhpur jail recently. He alleged that efforts were earlier made also to frame Asaram in several cases of murder.
“Now as a result of this ‘fabricated’ case the ‘saint’ is being put through mental and physical pain,” he said.
