Denying reports of campaigning for the Congress in the Delhi Assembly elections, senior party leader and former chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday said that she would be keeping away from active politics.

“My new year resolution is to keep away from active politics and to do things I wanted to do personally. I hope to be able to write a history of Delhi spanning from the past fifteen years,” said Dikshit.

She further said that she had no hopes from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal in the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls.

“He keeps talking of what he achieved in 49 days I don’t think he was really able to achieve anything. A leader who runs away cannot be trusted again,” she said.

It was earlier reported that the former Delhi chief minister would be campaigning for her party in the Delhi Assembly elections, which is set to take place in the early months of 2015.

Delhi has been under President’s Rule since February after Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government stepped down after 49 days in power.
