The game of cricket in India is suffering in the hands of bureaucrats and politicians and that was evident from the e-mail trail and that shows the sacked BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke was desperate in making several calls to Giles Clarke ECB president to call India tour to score some brownie point. He quoted security risks because of funds crunch in state cricket associations. Despite all his pamperings nothing took place and the tour continues without any security risk at present. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely is true as far as the game of cricket in India. How long BCCI will take such a stand individually when it ought to have been a collective decision.
