In this video, the actor is initially seen struggling with the pronunciation but she is a fast learner. She picks up the lyrics and the subtle nuances of the language in a jiffy.
Mr Bhardwaj, who has also composed the music for the film, was thoroughly impressed by Shraddha and told her, “After listening to the song they (Kashmiris) would want to keep you with themselves.”
The film, which is an adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies Hamlet is set against the scenic backdrop of Kashmir.
The film also stars Shahid Kapoor, Tabu, Kay Kay Menon and Irrfan Khan in pivotal roles and is slated to release on October 2.
