With election in Uttar Pradesh round the counter, political parties are trying to politicise the suicide of Ex-serviceman Ram Kishen Grewal over OROP. Both Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi are good at show off in the name of attending the funeral. This type of vote bank politics is played in the past and now it assumes greater importance after the surgical strike and the elimination of eight SIMI convicts. Instead of going for development, we are witnessing silly politics. In the past, nobody noticed such deaths as many farmers died after failing to repay bank loans and no one cared for them. The pensioners redressal cell was set up under the then Finance Minister P. Chidambaram but the complaints about non- compliance was recorded due to the negligence of the bank.
