Singhania wins RBK’s mega Tennis Interschool ICSE board Tournament

RBK School successfully concluded its three-day mega Lawn Tennis Tournament at the school premises. The winner of Under 19 Boys is Vishal Laungani (Score: 6-0, 6-4) of Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Thane and Under 19 Girls winner is Simran Butani (Score: 6-1, 6-1) from the same school.

“I am really thankful to the entire staff of the school for making this tournament a grand success by giving me a helping hand,” said Mrs. Nalini Shetty, Principal, RBK School after giving away the prizes to the winners.

The matches were played under two categories: Under 16 Boys and Girls and Under 19 Boys and Girls. The winner of Under 16 Boys is Keenaj Mevada (Score: 6-1, 6-2) of Champion School, Grand Road and the winner of Under 16 Girls is Sudipta Kumar (Score: 6-2, 6-0) of Jamnabhai Narsee School, Vile Parle.

The tournament kick started on 18 October with the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony Ms. Catherine Pereira, Mayor of Mira Bhayendar Municipal Corporation lighting the lamp. The students of RBK School performed a dance with drums at the inaugural ceremony.

Needless to say, the tournament was an exciting event for the young tennis enthusiasts who took part from ICSE schools across Maharashtra.
