Sonia Gandhi meets Robert Vadra after he loses cool, pushes reporter’s mic

Congress president Sonia Gandhi reportedly met son-in-law Robert Vadra at his residence on Sunday, a day after he became furious when a reporter quizzed him about the land deals.

The footage released by ANI shows Vadra angrily pushing away the mic of the reporter when asked about the alleged land scam deal in which his name has cropped up.

The video shows the reporter asking Vadra about the land deals when he went to attend the inauguration of a fitness centre at Delhi’s Ashoka hotel.
“Are you serious? Are you nuts?”, replied a furious Vadra.

He later clarified the incident and said that he thought that the question was asked by a private photographer.

Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit later said what happened is between Vadra and media. He reportedly added that press also oversteps its boundaries at times but we need to be civil with each other.

Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar said that law will take its own course even as the controversy over Robert Vadra’s land deal continues.

Vadra has been given highest level Z+ security cover which includes 36 personnel. However, whenever he travels with his wife Priyanka Gandhi and children, he automatically gets SPG cover.

Security cover is given to Cabinet ministers, chief ministers judges of Supreme Court and High Court and senior bureaucrats and politicians.
