National Science Day was observed by St. Xavier’s High School, Airoli on 29th February, 2016 for remembering Dr. C.V Raman a world famous scientist. Students and teachers had taken initiative to organise this programme. The celebration began with Bible reading and prayer. Mahadev Kawle who is currently working as Research Scientist in Molecular Medicine Department and Vishvajeet P. Mane who is a Drilling Enquirer and an active member of “Gauthami Social Welfare organization were present in the function.
The programme continued with skit and miming act on the scientific inventions. Simultaneously a Science Exhibition was held at basement area where an active participation was seen by the students from Std. V to IX. A PowerPoint presentation on “Significance of Science Day” had made this event more informative. Programme continued with a short speech by our guests where Mahadev Kawle said, “I am delighted to witness these young talents and collaboration of scientific attitude and young spirit”.
