A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an unidentified man who kidnapped her from a function in Talasari village, police said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on late Saturday night when the girl was standing alone at the entrance of the venue while her mother was inside when an unknown man gagged her and took her to an isolated place nearby where he sexually assaulted her, said sub-inspector AM Mulla of Talasari police station.
He said police have registered a case under relevant sections of IPC and POSCO Act and are looking for the culprit.
