Days after the release of 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind and Lashkar-e-Toibacommander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi from a jail in Pakistan, intelligence agencies on Wednesday issued a terror alert for temples in Gujarat.
According to intelligence inputs, Pakistan-based LeT terrorists might target Akshardham temple, Somnath temple, and other famous places in Gujarat.
The Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and Marine Police will begin patrolling to enhance security cover in Gujarat’s coastal region.
Yesterday, reports had said that LeT terrorists might sneak into Mumbai via the sea route to replicate the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
