The fervour of Holi

Holi is also known as the festival of colours or the festival of sharing love. It is an ancient Hindu religious festival which has become popular with a lot of non-Hindus too. Holi celebrations begin with the lighting up of a bonfire the previous day. Numerous legends and stories associated with the festival makes it more exuberant and vivid. People rub ‘gulal’ and ‘abeer’ on each other’s’ faces and cheer up saying, “bura na maano Holi hai”. Holi also gives a wonderful chance to send blessings and love to our near and dear ones.
