Three-day traffic restrictions imposed in Delhi for Obama’s visit

Several traffic restrictions have been imposed in the national capital ahead of Barack Obama’s India visit. Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road will be closed for public from January 24 to 26.

Traffic Special Commissioner Mukesh Chander said, “There will be some restrictions in New Delhi area. People can dial 1059 for traffic related information.”

Maurya Sheraton Road, Sardar Patel Marg and Teen Murti will be closed on January 26.

Strong security arrangements are being put in place in the city in the backdrop of the US President’s visit, who will be the chief guest during the Republic Day parade on January 26.

A seven-layer security ring will be thrown around the VVIP enclosure at Rajpath for the parade to be witnessed by the US President, his entourage and other dignitaries.
