ModimodPrime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that Centre has no plans of dividing Maharashtra.

Modi was reacting to MNS chief Raj Thackeray allegations that the PM wanted to gain control of India’s financial capital.

Addressing a rally in Sindhkheda in Dhule district of Maharashtra Modi said Maharashtra had the capability to drive India’s growth and its capital Mumbai was central to that.

He called the claims by Raj as false; he said that after cotton and onion, another lie had started by those who said that Maharashtra would be divided.

Modi further said that nobody could divide ChhatrapatiShivaji’s Maharashtra.

He added emphatically that till he was in in Delhi, everyone should be assured that no power would be able to break Maharashtra.
