Haryana government is in the dock yet after Commissioner of Gurgaon division and senior IAS officer Pradeep Kasni alleged that he has been transferred from the state under pressure from the land mafia. Kasni has claimed that the land mafia operating in Gurgaon and parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) want him out of office.

Kasni has said that Chief Minister ML Khattar has been mislead over the case adding that he is not being allowed to speak to the CM. “Lobby, which is active with the land mafia in Gurgaon and other parts of NCR, wanted me out. My transfer has been ordered under pressure. The CM has been mislead. I was trying to speak to CM but I was not even allowed to speak for two minutes,” the top Gurgaon commissioner said.

However, the state government has maintained that it is a routine transfer. “This is not the reality and transfer is a normal procedure. If he is claiming that he should present the proofs. The CM is always available. It is wrong to say the CM is not meeting him,” Officer on Special duty (OSD) to Haryana CM Jawahar Yadav said.

The official was removed from his post by Khattar-led BJP government on Monday after a report submitted by the officer to the state government revealed how revenue officials of the Millennium City were hand-in-glove with land-grabbers.

The report revealed how government land worth crores in Harsaru village, which has almost become a part of the Gurgaon urban conglomerate, was illegally transferred to private companies three years ago.

It was not taken back despite officials coming to know that the mutations of eight acres in six land deals were sanctioned in violation of orders of Punjab and Haryana High Court, the statement said.

According to the report, the officials had sought to fraudulently transfer the title of highly valuable land of state government to private companies and that the government machinery was playing into the hands of land-grabbers.
