The Indian blind cricket team successfully defended its Twenty 20 World Cup title by winning the final by nine wickets. Incidentally, in the previous and only edition of the T20 World Cup for the visually impaired, Pakistan had been on the losing end then too. Both teams came into the contest with a superb record during the tournament. Team India faced little difficulty in chase of 190 plus by overcoming the target, courtesy an aggressive 99 from opener Jayaramaiah. Ajay Kumar Reddy, at the other end, chipped in with a 31-ball 43 before being run out in the 11th over when they were still 88 shy of the target. Ironically, Pakistan ended as runners-up to India in the previous edition as well. Team India played to a plan and achieved an incredible victory in the end.
