Discarded Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh on Thursday said that his career wasn’t over and he is still looking forward to playing for India again.

Yuvraj was referring to an interview with Wisden India, where he said, “Of course, there is a possibility that I may never play for India again. I have considered that,” he said. “But there is also the possibility that I might play for India again, and as long as I believe that I can come back and I have it in me, I’m going to keep pushing myself,” he further added.

The 32-year-old, who hasn’t played for India in any format in the last six months, wrote through his account on micro-blogging site Twitter, that ‘anything can happen’ – shouldn’t be taken as the end of his illustrious career.

Anything can happen doesn’t mean I won’t play for India again! Of course the media has to twist and turn and make it into some controversy
Yuvraj said that he was very much hopeful about a comeback and would give his best shot in order to do so.

Since his recovery from cancer in 2012, Yuvraj hasn’t been in the best of form as a result of which his chances of making a comeback into the Indian team are bleak. He was Man of the Series in India’s World Cup win in 2011 and has been one of the most dashing left-handers in world cricket.
