The 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blast accused Feroz Khan on Tuesday assaulted a police officer outside Arthur jail on Tuesday.
Khan attacked the police officer while his pockets were reportedly being checked.
The CBI had filed a charge sheet against one of the undertrials Feroz Rashid Khan in June last year for his involvement in the serial bomb blasts.
He had initially claimed that it was a case of mistaken identity and that his name was ‘Hamza’.
Khan is reportedly a close aide of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and helped smuggle forearms and RDX into the city before the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai.
