80 crude bombs recovered from TMC leader’s house in West Bengal’s Birbhum

The police on Sunday recovered at least 80 crude bombs from the house of a Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker at Nanoor Bongram area in West Bengal’s Birbhum district.

Bombs and bomb making materials were found in the house of a TMC worker- Saroj Ghosh.

Bomb disposal squad on Monday morning went to the spot and defused all explosives.

However, police have started investigation into the matter and the accused TMC worker Saroj Ghosh has not been traced so far.

Crude bombs are widely used in political violence in West Bengal. Recently, two people were killed in a blast at the house of a Trinamool leader in Amodpur village. The blast occurred as a crude bomb exploded, bringing the entire house down.
