When you hear Ganpati Bappa, the first thing that comes to your mind is modak. But a Ganpati Temple situated near Babalnath Mandir in Mumbai celebrated this years Maghi Ganesh Jayanti with a cake cutting ceremony.
Iccha Purti Ganesh Mandir Babulnath had their unique way of celebrating Ganesha’s Birthday with a Cake and Treat to Devotees.
Besides the cake, the temple had organised a Day Long Pooja and Havan.
“We all celebrate our birthdays’ in large, so why not the same on our favorite Ganpati’s birthday. So I decided to have a cake cutting ceremony after the Aarti every year on the eve of Maghi Ganesh Jayanti, said the Temple Trustee Suresh Baburao Thakur.
The temple trust had also organised a massive Bhandara (food offering) serving thousands of devotees on that day.
