The couple, a resident of a village in Lakhimpur Kheri, lived and died together after 100 years of marriage. Fakeera had married Radhika when they were 20 and lived together for almost 100 years.
The residents of Bichuliu, a village on Indo-Nepal border, bade a celebratory adieu to the couple with no tears in the eyes of the mourners. Fakeera was 107 years old, while the age of Radhika was 103.
Radhika died first due to heart attack. And Fakeera also could not bear the loss of his loved one and he also breathed his last on Saturday.
The couple had no offspring. Both Hindus and Muslim residents of the village participated in the funeral of the couple.
