A general second class coach and engine of Amravati-Mumbai Express got derailed while the train was entering platform no 4 at Kalyan Railway Station in the wee hours of Thursday.
No loss of live or property has been reported in the incident and all passengers are said to be safe.
Efforts are on to restore normal traffic on the route.
Few trains were diverted after the incident and those on the Kasara line are reported to be running behind the schedule.late.
