NEW DELHI: “Blood and water can’t flow at the same time,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday during a meeting to review the Indus Water treaty+ with Pakistan amidst heightened tension between the two countries.
Principal secretary to PM, Nripendra Misra, NSA Ajit Doval and foreign secretary S Jaishankar also attended the meeting in the PM’s residence.
India today ruled out cancelling the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan, but sources said in a new and aggressive move, New Delhi is planning on greater use of three of the five rivers that are controlled by Pakistan, reported NDTV.
