Aggrieved consumers in Thane can now heave a sigh of relief, thank to the consumer grievance redressal camp and milk testing drive, being organized by Consumer Guidance Society of India (CGSI). India’s first and most dynamic consumer body will be conducting this event in association with Government of Maharashtra (department of food, civil supplies and consumer protection).

Redressal Camp-AV
The consumer camp will cover all consumer subjects including but not restricted to: Banking, Credit Cards, Financial Services, Airlines, Railways, Transport, Food, Medical Services, Government Services, RTI, Weights & Measures, Telecom, Construction & Reality, MRP, Online purchasing and Electronics & Mobiles. CGSI holds “Consumer Grievance Redressal Camps” in which leading professionals & personalities, of various industries & trades (e.g. Banking, Telecommunication, Insurance, consumer durable goods manufacturers and service providers) will be invited to address the grievance of customers in predefined time slots.

In order to create public awareness about the quality of milk that is in supply, CGSI will conduct a live Milk Testing for Quality through its Electronic Milk Analyzer. CGSI will conduct these tests free of charge, through the milk samples bought by students from schools and colleges. CGSI will also issue a written report of the analysis to the consumers.

On this occasion, Dr. M.S. Kamath, Hon. Secretary, CGSI stated, “This consumer camp will provide double benefits to the consumers as along with the redressal camp, we shall have milk testing drive as well. By organizing this camp in various parts of the city we are trying to reach out to more and more consumers and help them solving their problems”.

Consumers who wish to participate in this camp need to register their complaints by calling a toll free helpline No. 1800222262 between 10.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. and register their complaint.
