In yet another incident which highlights the concerns over women’s safety in the national capital, a young foreign tourist was allegedly gang-raped by three persons in a hotel in the Karol Bagh locality late on Thursday.
According to initial reports, the woman arrived from Kazakhstan last night and was escorted to a hotel in a taxi after she was contacted by a travel agent shortly upon her arrival.
It is alleged that her taxi driver, the travel agent and one of his close aides later took turn to rape her at the hotel where she was made to stay.
It is also alleged that the three assaulted the woman and threatened her of dire consequences after outraging her modesty.
The woman, who attempted to commit suicide, was this morning shifted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for medical treatment.
The Delhi Police, which is probing the case, has meanwhile arrested all the three accused, who are now being interrogated by the authorities.
