Maharashtra government has decided to set up Intensive Poultry Development blocks in 14 districts on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis.
The decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
“Intensive poultry development blocks will be set up in 14 districts on a PPP basis,” an official in the Chief Minister’s Office said.
The Cabinet also approved a proposal to start “Tejaswini”, a bus service only for women in five municipal corporation areas – Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan- Dombivali and Nagpur.
In another decision, the Maharashtra government decided that the “Samruddh Gram Yojana” will be called as “Smart Gram” and implemented from 2016-17, he said.
The Cabinet also decided to grant autonomy to Sir J J College of Architecture, Sir JJ School of Arts and J J Institute of Applied Arts.
The Cabinet also approved a policy to change scope of irrigation projects on area upto 250 hectares.
Similarly, it was decided to set up a Cabinet Sub-Committee for fixing sectoral allocation of water for different categories as well as for case wise non-irrigation water reservation proposals, said the official.
