There is no end to the row over the Haryana SGPC Act. The Haryana SGPC has called for a meeting on Thursday at Kaithal to work on a plan on how to take control of gurudwaras from the parent body.

The Akal Takht, the supreme body of Sikhs, had restrained Haryana SGPC from taking control of state gurudwaras. After the Akal Takht stepped in, Sikh leaders from Punjab and Haryana called off their congregation scheduled for last week.

The Akalis and the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government in Haryana have been in a tussle over the control of gurudwaras in Haryana. According to sources, the government may send a Presidential reference, which means that the Supreme Court will advise the government on the matter.
