Having lost the battle against the lawyers following the suspension of KL Dangi, SHO of Tukoganj police station in Indore, the men in khakhi are now taking this battle to the virtual world.
Several police officers from Indore and Ujjain region are turning towards social networking portal Facebook and WhatsApp for expressing solidarity with their suspended colleague.
Several of these police officers are using black dot as their profile pictures for protesting Dangi’s suspension following a fortnight long strike from the lawyers in the state.
The Indore lawyers had entered into a tussle with the Tukoganj police station TI (thana in-charge) KL Dangi on June 27.
A brawl between an advocate and a builder had taken place on June 27 following which the lawyers staged a ‘chakka jam’ demanding an FIR against the builder under strict sections.
Following the protest the demand was met but an FIR was also lodged against some members of Indore Bar Association for allegedly blocking vehicular traffic and causing problems for commuters.
Since, the lawyers had been demanding revocation of the FIR against them and suspension of Tukoganj police station incharge KL Dangi on whose instructions the FIR was lodged.
