A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Deshmukh and Justice Dilip Gupta dismissed the PIL filed by advocate Sushil Kumar Mishra, holding the petition had become “infructuous”.

The advocate in the petition had taken exception to a dialogue in the movie, scheduled for release tomorrow, where Devgan has been reportedly shown saying to a godman “main tera do kaudi ka pravachan sunne nahin aaya hoon” (I have not come to listen to your two-penny half-penny sermon). The petitioner alleged the sequence could offend sentiments of a particular community.

However, on the very first day of hearing on the PIL today, an affidavit was filed by the movie’s co-producer, Reliance Entertainment, stating the expressions “do kaudi ka” and “pravachan” had been replaced with “faltu” and “bhashan” respectively.
