Husband dies of shock after wife succumbs to cardiac arrest on-board flight

75-year-old Shanti Lal Jain died of shock after his wife Premlata succumbed to a sudden cardiac arrest while on-board Guwahati-bound Spicejet flight.
65-year-old Premlata hailed from Churu. She was on her way to Guwahati from Delhi with her husband.
According to airport authorities, Premlata was travelling in the flight with her husband and two more relatives. She complained of pain in her chest after take-off. The crew was alerted after which the pilots diverted the flight back to the Delhi airport.
The flight made a medical emergency landing at IGI airport from where Premlata was rushed to Max hospital, however, doctors declared her brought dead.
Minutes later, her husband died of shock in the hospital.
