Seriously talking about the present water shortage being faced by Maharashtra the MNS Chief Raj Thackeray asked party activists to request the citizens with folded hands to celebrate dry holy and if they do not listen tell them by breaking their hand.

Raj was addressing the MNS rally at the Ram Ganesh Gadkari Rangayatan.

He asked the party men who came from places Thane, including Kalyan, Dombivili to ensure that there was no no waste of the water during the festival of colours this time due to water shortage this time.

Mr Thackeray, who gave the annual programme to his party men, did not not refer to the civic elections which are round the corner next year. He in his speech said that in the country there is no no other business other than elections in the country.

He ordered his party men to put up Gudi- at each Nakas in the city on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa this year.

He has started his spade work for the public address at the Shiv Theerth- Shivaji Maidan on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa falling on April 08,2016. He asked all the office-bearers of the party to be prepared for the event.

With regards to the celebrations of Shiv Jayanti he said that the Jayanti should be celebrated as per the historic calendar Tithi and not not following any other date.

He asked his party men to celebrate the Shiv Jayanti on the lines and grand scale like the celebrations of Ganesh Utsav all over.

He unveiled the flag which contains the Rajamudra of the Shivaji Era which is brought out specially for the Shiv Jayanti.

This large scale celebration of the Shiv Jayanti by the MNS is to counter the present celerbration being carried out by the Shiv Sena it is learnt.

The media was kept away from the rally for the first time by the MNS local leaders and it was a closed door rally.
