Naveen Rana, a resident of Noida, stopped dead in tracks on Sunday evening when a few transaction alerts on his mobile phone left him penniless. Without having made any ATM transaction, Rs 10,000 were automatically drained out from his account.
Rana, who works as a General Manager of an multinational company, received this alert when he was home, and the debit card was in his pocket.
The moment he read the message, he received another alert with a transaction made of another Rs 10,000. And words failed him when he rushed to the nearby ATM only to find another transaction of Rs 500.
Naveen rushed to Kavinagar police station and later found out that the transaction was made from an ATM located in Noida Sector 16.
