Netizens go gaga over surgical strikes

According to them, India has sent a stern message to Pakistan that it adopts a zero tolerance policy against terrorism.

Netizens and former retired army personnel lauded the Modi government and Indian army for carrying out surgical strikes on terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control. Many of them congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi under whose leadership the entire operation was conducted successfully. They said that the strike will send across a stern message to Pakistan that India adopts a zero tolerance policy against terrorism. Relation between both the nation had turned sour in the aftermath of the Uri terror attack incident which claimed the lives of 18 jawans.

Earlier Modi had warned Pakistan that the Uri attack will not be forgotten and the sacrifice of jawans will not go in vain. India also has taken several steps like skipping the SAARC summit scheduled to be held in Islamabad and received the backing of Bhutan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.  According to sources said the operation was a combination of heliborne and ground forces, and seven terror launch pads were destroyed in the strike across LoC.

Sapna Mishra posted, “India has given a tough lesson to Pakistan. Now the country feels safe and proud under Narendra Modi’s leadership.”

Angry Indian Chikna said, “#SurgicalStrike on Pakistan is nothing but Indian Army’s Swachh Bharat campaign conducted on PoK.”

Ramesh Seth said, “Pakistan thinks that we are a soft state and don’t retaliate. However through this attack we have given a befitting reply to them. The government could have conducted the operation earlier.”

Mohit Gulati posted, “And a two minute silence for all those who were questioning 56 inches…! We are proud of Modi’s leadership and his vision.”

Sanjay Paswan posted, “Modi is the leader who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. Kudos to the Indian armed forces for conducting a successful operation.”

A retired army personnel said, “India has conducted this operation without violating international laws. This attack only shows that we are strong and capable of defending ourselves. I don’t think that the attack has been delayed as such type of operation requires through planning.”

“Through this attack we have sent message to the world that we can give a befitting reply to Pakistan. I salute the jawans who have sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation,” said another personnel

Tajinder Pal S Bagga said, “Today is an important day to understand this. More than 12 hours after Indian action, no country has condemned it.”

Shefali Vaidya said, “Feeling nostalgic at Nawaz Sharief saying ‘don’t mistake our restraint for weakness’. Feels like good old Maunmohan days!”

Lok Jan Shakti Party leader Chirag Paswan said, “Extremely proud of our soldiers & our leader Narendra Modi for giving a befitting reply to terrorism.”

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “Our leader Narendra Modiji has shown that we’re a strong nation and don’t tolerate terrorism.”

“Significant casualties have been caused to terrorists and those trying to shield them. We don’t have a plan to further conduct such strikes. India has spoken to Pakistan,” DGMO Lt Gen Ranbir Singh said.
