A class third student was booked for ‘breach of peace’ under section 107/116 of CrPC by Nagla Singhi police, following which one policeman was suspended on Friday for taking legal action against the minor.

Nine-year-old Sanjay went to graze his cattle on July 18 in Khurra village during which one of his buffaloes strayed in the field of one Guddi Devi, Additional Superintendent of Police Rakesh Pandey said.

He said that the boy was detained by Guddi Devi but released later after a compromise was reached between her and the family of the boy.

However, three days back Sanjay and his father Bholeram received a notice of breach of peace from sub-inspector (promotee) Chaila Ram.

The incident came to fore when Bholeram and Sanjay went to tehsil office to get their bail.

The ASP said that a preliminary inquiry was conducted after which Chaila Ram was suspended last night.
