Entrepreneur and motivational speaker Vivek Bindra has been booked for allegedly assaulting his wife in Noida, police officials said on Saturday.

The police said they are investigating the allegations and would take action upon probe.

Bindra could not be contacted immediately for his response.

The FIR was lodged at the Sector 126 police station on December 14 after a complaint by Vaibhav Kwatra, brother of Bindra’s wife Yanika.

Bindra and Yanika got married on December 6 and were living in a posh society in Sector 94 here, he said.

”On the morning of December 7, my brother-in-law, Vivek Bindra, was arguing with his mother, Prabha ji. When my sister Yanika intervened in this matter, my brother-in-law locked the room with my sister, abused her, and beat her a lot, due to which she has wounds all over her body, is unable to hear, and her hair were also torn out,” Kwatra claimed.

”Due to the head wound, she was feeling quite dizzy. She was being treated at Kailash Deepak Hospital in Delhi,” he claimed.

Kwatra also alleged that during the fight, Bindra broke his sister’s mobile phone. He urged the police to take strict action in the case.

A senior police officer said on the basis of the complaint, an FIR has been lodged in the case under Indian Penal Code sections 323 (causing hurt), 504 (insult to provoke breach of peace), 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), and 427 (mischief).

”We have launched an investigation into the case to ascertain the facts. Necessary action would be taken accordingly,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Noida) Rajneesh Verma told PTI.

Former Maharashtra minister Sunil Kedar, 5 others get five years in jail in bank scam 4

A magistrate’s court on Friday sentenced Congress MLA and former Maharashtra minister Sunil Kedar and five others to five years’ rigourous imprisonment for misappropriation of funds at the Nagpur District Central Cooperative Bank (NDCCB).

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate J V Pekhle-Purkar pronounced judgement in the case, which dates back to 2002. The six were also fined Rs 10 lakh each.

Apart from Kedar, the accused include the general manager and directors of NDCCB and a director of Home Trade Private Limited, an investment firm. Three persons were acquitted.

Among other provisions, Kedar was held guilty under Indian Penal Code Section 409 (criminal breach of trust by a public servant).

As per the prosecution, the NDCCB lost Rs 125 crore in government securities in 2002 as rules were flouted while investing funds through Home Trade Private Limited. Kedar was then the chairman of the bank. In her judgement, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Pekhle-Purkar said Kedar and one other accused were entrusted with the entire stake of the bank, adding that the fund in question was the hard-earned money of the people and members of the bank, most of whom are poor farmers from here.

The court pointed out that the objective and purpose of the cooperative sector is to enhance the status of the economically marginalised sections of society.

The court said Kedar, who was chairman at the time, and then general manager Ashok Choudhary were entrusted to invest the funds in the manner prescribed by the law but they committed a breach of trust.

Such a criminal breach of trust is a serious offence, the judge said in her order. The loss of such a huge amount of money is sufficient to bring down the financial position of the bank, which in turn would affect thousands of members and staff of the entity, the court said.

People holding high posts are vested with more responsibilities to ensure not even a single rupee of a member is wasted in any manner, the court order said.

”Therefore, the breach of trust by such responsible persons invites this court to deal with such persons with steel hands. In view of the seriousness of the offences, no leniency can be shown to the accused persons,” the court asserted.

Those sentenced in the case under sections 409 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 248 of the Code of Criminal Procedure are Kedar, general manager Ashok Choudhary, Ketan Seth, Amit Verma, Subodh Bhandari, and Nandkishore Trivedi.

US: Hindu temple wall defaced by anti-India graffiti, cops treating it as 'hate crime' 6

Suspected pro-Khalistan activists allegedly defaced the Swaminarayan temple in Newark, California, police said, adding that the incident came to light on Friday (local time).

The exterior wall of the Hindu temple was defaced with anti-India graffiti. The Newark Police Service has started an investigation into the vandalism.

According to the temple administration, the incident took place on Thursday night. “One of the devotees, who lives close to the shrine, discovered anti-Hindu and anti-India graffiti in black ink on an exterior wall of the building, and the local administration was immediately informed,” Bhargav Raval, the spokesperson for the temple administration, told ANI.

The spokesperson added the temple authorities were ‘shocked’ to find the anti-Indian graffiti on its wall. Shedding more light into the incident, Jonathan Arguello, a police captain for the city of Newark, said the ‘targeted act’ was being investigated.

“Based on the graffiti, we believe it was a targeted act, and it’s going to be investigated with full thoroughness. I can also tell you that as a member of the Newark Police Department and the Newark community, we’re deeply saddened when these types of acts occur, and we think they’re senseless and they have no room. We won’t tolerate them here in Newark. So today, I wanted to make sure that you understand how seriously we take these situations and know that we will investigate as thoroughly as possible with utmost care and sensitivity. I can also tell you that officers are currently investigating this via evidence collection,” the captain told reporters during a press conference. The police official said to piece together the chain of events leading to the act of defacement, the footage from surveillance cameras in the neighbouring residences were being looked into.

“Our policies that any acts of violence or threats of violence, property damage, harassment, intimidation, or other crimes motivated by hate or bias are considered very serious and given the utmost care. We’re handling this investigation as a hate crime at this point, based on our conversations with you and the physical evidence we’ve seen,” he said. This is not the first such incident where a temple has been defaced with such graffiti in the recent past.

The incident comes close on the heels of the US Justice Department unsealing an indictment against an Indian national for his alleged involvement in a foiled plot to assassinate India-designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on American soil. The Justice Department claimed that an Indian government employee (named CC-1), who was not identified in the indictment filed in a federal court in Manhattan, recruited an Indian national named Nikhil Gupta to hire a hitman to carry out the assassination, which was foiled by US authorities, according to prosecutors.

Gupta is currently in custody and has been charged with murder-for-hire, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. Czech authorities arrested and detained Gupta on June 30, pursuant to the bilateral extradition treaty between the US and the Czech Republic. Reacting to the Justice Department’s indictment, the Ministry of External Affairs said the case filed against an individual in a US court, allegedly linking him to an Indian official, was a “matter of concern” and is contrary to government policy.

“We cannot share any further information on such security matters. As regards the case against an individual that has been filed in a US court allegedly linking him to an Indian official, this is a matter of concern. We have said and let me reiterate that this is contrary to government policy” the MEA spokesperson said. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who was declared a ‘designated individual terrorist’ by the Government of India on July 1, 2020, has been actively exhorting Punjab-based gangsters and youth over social media to fight for the cause of the independent state of Khalistan, challenging the sovereignty, integrity and security of the country, NIA investigations have shown.

Pannun has been under the NIA lens since 2019 when the anti-terror agency registered its first case against him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the claims made by the US, saying he would ‘look into’ any evidence, adding that ‘few incidents’ would not affect US-India ties.

“If someone gives us any information, we would definitely look into it,” PM Modi said in an interview with the UK-based newspaper Financial Times. “If a citizen of ours has done anything good or bad, we are ready to look into it. Our commitment is to the rule of law,” Prime Minister Modi added.

He also raised concerns over a rising tide of anti-India extremism on foreign shores, saying New Delhi was “deeply concerned about the activities of certain extremist groups based overseas”, adding, “These elements, under the guise of freedom of expression, have engaged in intimidation and incited violence,” Financial Times reported. “There is strong bipartisan support for the strengthening of this relationship, which is a clear indicator of a mature and stable partnership,” PM Modi told FT, adding, “Security and counter-terrorism co-operation has been a key component of our partnership.”

“I don’t think it is appropriate to link a few incidents with diplomatic relations between the two countries,” PM Modi added. Earlier, Khalistanis allegedly attacked the Indian Consulate in San Francisco. Videos of supporters breaking the doors and barging into the office surfaced on social media.

Visuals shared online showed a mob brandishing Khalistan flags mounted on wooden poles, using them to smash glass doors and windows of the consulate building. They raised pro-Khalistan slogans as they broke through makeshift security barriers raised by the city police and installed two Khalistani flags inside the premises.

In another related incident in Canada, a Hindu temple was defaced by extremist elements with Khalistan referendum posters in August. The incident happened in British Columbia province in Canada.

The posters shared by Australia Today, read “Canada investigates the role of India in June 18th assassination”. The video of the incident also went on social media platforms.

The video shared by Australia Today showed two masked men putting up the posters and taking photos before fleeing the scene. The poster on the temple gate referred to and also had the picture of Khalistan Tiger Force chief and designated terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was shot dead by unidentified assailants in June this year.

How can India afford to lose gold medal wrestlers over dirty politics?

How can India afford to lose gold medal wrestlers over dirty politics? 8

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s political career gave birth to many controversies, as he was one of the prominent names who got arrested in the demolition of the Babri Masjid case and was also booked under the anti-terrorism law TADA for harbouring the shooters of the Dawood Ibrahim gang. However, he was later acquitted for lack of evidence. He is currently at the centre of the accusations of sexual harassment by India’s top female wrestlers, wherein 7 female wrestlers, including 1 minor, have testified against him in an FIR. These wrestlers include Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat in the ongoing wrestlers’ protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Singh encountered as many as 38 cases against him under various charges, including theft, criminal intimidation, murder, attempted murder, rioting, kidnapping, etc.

This person has a lot of prominence in the BJP, and in spite of Modi’s clean political promises, there are many criminals who enjoy plum posts in the party. In January 2023, a group of Olympians and international wrestlers, including Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia, and others, organised a sit-in demanding the disbandment of the federation due to alleged sexual harassment of female wrestlers by Brij Bhushan. The protests resumed in April 2023 due to government inaction. The protesters demanded the police file an FIR against Brij Bhushan and his immediate arrest. The incidents of sexual harassment cited by protestors ranged from 2012 to 2022.

On April 28, 2023, only after the intervention of the Supreme Court did the Delhi Police register two FIRs against him. One of the FIRs was registered under the POCSO Act (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012) for offences against a minor. A second FIR was registered on similar grounds on the complaint of the remaining six adult female wrestlers. The wrestlers told the media on an open platform that Brij Bhushan used to touch their breasts and stomachs sexually on the pretext of checking their breath in a police complaint on April 21, 2023. One of these women alleged that Brij Bhushan lifted her training jersey without her consent in 2018.

The six-time MP—who won five times on a BJP ticket and once for the SP—is a strongman whose writ runs large in eastern UP politics. He is actively associated with more than 50 educational institutions, including engineering, pharmacy, education, law, and others, that he established in Bahraich, Gonda, Balrampur, Ayodhya, and Shravasti districts. He is a strong man and no political party can afford to lose him. He knows his way and the game of survival, as well as the weaknesses of the ruling party.

Now his confidant, Sanjay Singh, has been elected Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president. Soon after this win, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh celebrated with supporters at his Delhi residence, where he raised a slogan: “Dabdaba to hai, dabdaba to rahega. Yeh to bhagwan ne de rakha hai (influence prevails and will continue). God has given this influence.” His Prateek, Bhushan Singh, the Gonda Sadar MLA, also joined the celebrations and raised a poster with the slogan written on it. In short, they hinted to the wrestlers that we are here to stay and continue with what we have done so far.

Though no longer the WFI president, his loyalist’s election shows Brij Bhushan will continue to have his say on how the organisation is run. Despite the nationwide uproar over the sexual harassment allegations levelled at him by women wrestlers earlier this year, he continued participating in party programmes and Parliament proceedings.

This entire series has sent shockwaves to female wrestlers. Wrestler Bajrang Punia wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he is returning his Padma Shri award as a mark of protest over the results of the recent Wrestling Federation of India elections, where Sanjay Singh, a loyalist of the controversial Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, was elected as the president.

This entire episode has prompted Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik to quit the sport. In a press conference, the champion wrestler put her shoe on the table to show her protest and later cried on camera. Reacting to Sanjay Singh’s election to the body that controls wrestling in India, BJP MP Brij Bhushan assured there won’t be any vendetta politics against wrestlers who accused him of sexual harassment or protested to demand his removal as the WFI chief. Let’s see what happens next.

Yogi Dayanidhi Sharan will perform a grand Samudra Aarti on December 25 in Mumbai 10

Yogi Dayanidhi Sharan’s Shri Dayanidhi Dham Trust has organised “Samudra Aarti” ocean prayers on Monday, December 25, 2013, at Juhu Beach at 6 pm. Aarti is followed by Vedic chants and prayers.

The grand ritual of Samudra Aarti will be performed by Yogi Dayanidhi Sharan ji with the divine blessings of his guru, Yogi Kalikanand Saraswasti, who is known as Bapu. Samudra Aarti is the ocean prayer ceremony, considered very auspicious. As per religious texts, the worship of Samudra began by offering it Aarti, and Vedic rituals have immense powers to enhance the spiritual levels of human beings.

Yogi Dayanidhi Sharan said, “I want people to celebrate December 25th as Samudra Aarti day every year. I shall go across India to do ocean prayers to bring peace and prosperity among fellow Indians.”

Yogi Kalikanand Saraswati ji said, “When a dharma guru does prayers, it reaches all across the universe. Bhajan is the actual bhakti. I am happy that Yogi Dayanidhi Sharan has chosen this day for ocean prayers. Hail Sanatan.”

Before the event commences, a ceremonial pot, or kalash, is installed, and then the rituals are performed. There will be the chanting of Vedic mantras. They perform 16 different types of sacred offerings, or Abhishekams, including milk, honey, sandalwood paste, and turmeric. These are offered to the sacred water. This holy water is then poured into the sea, which is considered an act of consecration. According to beliefs, 16 Abhishekams are performed because they benefit the world. The Aarti is focused on spreading peace and harmony among humanity and the world.

Sufi Sant Shree Arvind Nagar is coordinating the event; he said that, “being a Sanatani, this is my small contribution towards Sanatan dharma. On the same day when people are waiting for the arrival of Santa, we will also be seeking the blessings of Samurda Devta.”

During this Aarti, devotees gather at Juhu Beach with lamps in their hands and offer their prayers to the Samudra or the ocean. The lamps, lights, chants, flowers, and mantras blend with the rhythm of the waves, creating a surreal experience and ambiance for those witnessing it. It further enhances the sanctity of the Samudra Aarti and seeks blessings from the ocean.

"Weaponizing disturbances as political strategy doesn't resonate": VP Dhankhar on avoidable disruptions in Rajya Sabha 12

Hitting out at the disturbances in the Upper House during the just concluded Winter Session of Parliament, the Rajya Sabha Chairman said on Thursday that he is pained after learning that 22 hours were lost due to ‘avoidable disruptions’ adding that weaponizing them as a political strategy doesn’t resonate with our Constitutional obligation. The Rajya Sabha Chairman, after the conclusion of the 262nd Session of the Rajya Sabha, said that the productivity of the Upper House stood at 79 per cent.

“We were able to transact business for 65 hours during the 14 sittings and addressed over 2300 Questions from treasury and the opposition benches. During the period over 4300 papers were laid on the Table. I am pained to state that nearly 22 hours were lost due to avoidable disruptions adversely impacting our overall productivity that finally stood at 79 percent. Weaponizing disruptions and disturbance as a political strategy doesn’t resonate with our constitutional obligation of keeping the interest of people at large above any other political considerations,” he said. During his address, he said the Rajya Sabha MPs successfully undertook significant legislative activities with informed and insightful debate.

“Today we have come to the conclusion of the 262nd Session of the Rajya Sabha. During the course of the session, we have successfully undertaken significant legislative activities with informed and insightful debate. A total of 17 Bills including important path breaking bills related to Jammu & Kashmir, Appointment of Election Commissioners, the Post Office Bill, The Telecommunications Bill and the three Bills namely Bharatiya Sakshya Bill, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita were passed during this session. These three bills unshackled colonial legacy of criminal jurisprudence that was hurtful to the citizens of this country and favouring alien rulers,” he said. “After the historic step of abolition of Article 370 and provision of one-third reservation for women in Parliament and State Legislatures, the House afforded the benefit of the same to the people of Jammu and Kashmir through the bills passed during the session,” the Vice President added.

Taking note of the passage of the Bill to repeal the Indian Post Office Act, 1898 and to consolidate and amend the law relating to the post offices in India, Dhankhar said, “The Post Office Bill revamped the old colonial structure to set up the stage for fulfillment of the aspirations of the people of the country.” “These Bills represented the spirit of “Panch Praan” that would lay a firm foundation for Bharat’s Amrit Kaal,” he added.

Meanwhile, leaders of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc are scheduled to hold a protest against the suspension of 146 opposition MPs here in the national capital on Friday. The Members of Parliament, suspended from the Parliament’s Winter Session, which was adjourned sine die on Thursday, will protest at the Jantar Mantar at 11 am. Also, a nationwide protest has also been scheduled at all district headquarters by the Congress Party today.

Leaders of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc are scheduled to hold a protest against the suspension of 146 opposition MPs here in the national capital on Friday. The Members of Parliament, suspended from the Parliament’s Winter Session, which was adjourned sine die on Thursday, will protest at the Jantar Mantar at 11 am.

Also, a nationwide protest has also been scheduled at all district headquarters by the Congress Party today. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who was among the suspended lawmakers, on Thursday said that the Friday protest of the INDIA bloc will be staged in all the states.

“It’s appropriate to protest and all of us will be at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The INDIA alliance protest will happen everywhere tomorrow (Friday) morning in all the states because we want to show the public that if they’d run Parliament like this and won’t listen to the opposition then they are ruining the democracy,” he had said. Aam Aadmi Party MPs including ND Gupta, Sandeep Pathak, Sant Balbir Seecehwal, and Sanjeev Arora will join the INDIA bloc protest today.

A total of 146 MPs — 100 from Lok Sabha and 46 from Rajya Sabha — are currently suspended so far for creating a ruckus and disrupting proceedings in both Houses, while they were demanding a statement from Union Minister Amit Shah about the Parliament security breach incident. Earlier on Thursday, after the conclusion of the 262nd Session of the Rajya Sabha, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that he is pained to state that nearly 22 hours of the Upper House were lost due to avoidable disruptions.

“I am pained to state that nearly 22 hours were lost due to avoidable disruptions adversely impacting our overall productivity that finally stood at 79 percent. Weaponizing disruptions and disturbance as a political strategy doesn’t resonate with our constitutional obligation of keeping the interest of people at large above any other political considerations,” the Rajya Sabha Chairman said. Earlier on Thursday, while the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were underway, the suspended MPs took out a march from the Parliament building to Vijay Chowk to protest against the bulk suspension of opposition lawmakers.

Taking part in the protest march, John Brittas of CPI(M), said, the Centre should now amend the Constitution to say that India is a monarchy. “We are protesting against the brutal killing of the democracy; the democracy has been massacred. You could see the Union Home Minister unilaterally; this is Opposition-Mukt Parliament. They (the Centre) should now amend the Constitution to say that India is a monarchy,” he said while speaking to ANI.

Jagdeep Dhankhar mimicry row, Media reached all lows

Jagdeep Dhankhar mimicry row, Media reached all lows 16

For the first time in the history of the Indian Parliament, 141 MPs have been suspended. Out of these, 95 are from the Lok Sabha and 46 from the Rajya Sabha. This mass suspension has developed a crisis in Parliament, especially at a time when crucial bills were tabled and passed with limited discussion. The only fault of MPs is that they keep raising questions and bring the government into an awkward situation. The root of the contention lies in the opposition’s demand for a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament. They seek a discussion on the recent security breach incident on December 13, where intruders stormed the Lok Sabha and released smoke canisters.

Well, all the suspended MPs were having a chill moment. To make the situation light, TMC leader Kalyan Banerjee was mimicking Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was seen recording it. The scenario was somewhat like schoolchildren teasing their teacher. Soon after this episode, the mainstream media got geared up to make breaking news and there were several prime-time debates. But unfortunately, no media has the guts to question the government over the mass suspension.

Above all, a Supreme Court lawyer has filed a complaint against Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee, who stirred a row by mimicking Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar during the opposition’s protest at the Parliament complex. The video of Banerjee derisively mimicking Dhankhar has since gone viral. The advocate, Vineet Jindal, has filed a complaint with the Ethics Committees of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha and sought the expulsion of all the members involved in the incident.

In this entire saga, no media has ever questioned the security lapses, the attack on parliament, or the reason for such aggression by civil society. Unemployment is the biggest issue in the country and the security breach in parliament exposed many things. The BJP can never handle such humiliations. They knew that the opposition was not in a mood to spare them. They suspended hundreds of MPs.

Let me tell you, this was not the first time some leader mocked another leader; our PM Modi mocked many opposition leaders. He made fun of them by calling them names and adding tags. Modi mocked former Vice President Hamid Ansari during his farewell event in August 2017, one of India’s most distinguished diplomats, reducing his identity to his religion and in effect alleging that his entire professional and political achievements were because of his religious identity. No BJP leader or member of the media took this incident seriously.

Now the mimicry saga is being escalated to divert attention from the suspension of 142 MPs. Never in the history of Parliament has there been a suspension of MPs on such a large scale. But those who talk about mimicry, just remember who mimicked whom and that too in the Lok Sabha. Soon after this episode, Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee clarified that he didn’t intend to hurt Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar when he made his impression outside Parliament. Calling mimicry a “type of art,” Banerjee defended his action by citing a past instance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi “doing mimicry in Lok Sabha.” Jagdeep Dhankhar is ex-governor of Bengal.

Unfortunately, these are our lawmakers, and that is our ruling party, who ignore the crucial issues of the country while wasting their time on petty issues. Asking questions in parliament is considered a crime. Media has already become “His master’s voice” by keeping themselves as watchdogs. In an era of weaker opposition, it’s the duty of the media to hold the ruling government accountable. If all voices are suppressed, then there will be only dictatorship. The Indian government can go one-sided and arrogant, which it already is.

Jagdeep Dhankar, the man famous for being the governor of West Bengal, has been announced as the NDA’s candidate for the post of VP. He is also famous for being the lawyer for Salman Khan, who bailed him out. He has been rewarded for the efforts he has put in while being the governor of Bengal. He went out of the normal working routine of a governor and tried to meet and become the voice of people who were affected by violence. He was mocked by the opposition but he persisted with his efforts. People also threw allegations at him for working on the orders of the central government, which might be true. But do you really expect a governor appointed by the central government not to pay heed to the ruling party? Ideally, yes, because governor is not a political post but we don’t live in an idealistic world. So the post of the speaker should be neutral.

"Longer it went, I think the less chance I had": Spencer Johnson on IPL auction 18

Australia pacer Spencer Johnson said that he thought he had less chance of finding a franchise during the Indian Premier League mini-auction. A year ago, Johnson didn’t play a single T20I match. Fast forward to December 19, 2023, and Johnson became an IPL millionaire.

Ahead of IPL 2024, a mini-auction was on the cards and just 30 overseas spots were available. With the limited seats, the 28-year-old speedster felt his opportunity might not come. But he ended up joining the likes of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Jhye Richardson, who went for big bucks.

The Gujarat Titans became his home as the one-time IPL champions secured his services for Rs 10 crore. “I think the longer it went, I guess you start to lose a little bit of hope. So the longer it was going, I think, the less chance I had. But at the end of the day, I was in a position where I was in the auction, and this time last year I wasn’t. So whatever happened was going to happen, and anything would have been a good result,” he said, as quoted from ESPNcricinfo.

Johnson has had a fair share of experience playing franchise cricket. He has been a target for league franchises and has featured in the Hundred, the MLC, and the Global T20 in Canada. He took nine wickets in nine games across those tournaments. “It’s obviously a pretty special moment; I never really thought I’d be in this situation. But it was nice to get on FaceTime back home in Adelaide [with] mum and to see her smile. It’s not just my moment; I guess it’s a moment for my whole family and they’ve been there the whole way. So for them to experience it as well, it’s pretty special,” Johnson said.

Even though the speedster walked away with a hefty price tag, he believes that the red-ball game is actually where his true strengths lie. “Ideally, I’d like to play more red ball. I think my body’s just let me down over the last few years but my body’s hardening and I’m getting ready to play, hopefully, some longer format cricket, which is, I feel, my better format,” Johnson added.

Divya Chikitsa Mantras with Ashwini Guru ji in Mumbai 20

You might have heard of Sanjeevani Vidya given by Guru Shukracharya, which could bring back the dead to life, or that there existed a certain herb called Sanjeevani buti, which brought back Lakshman to life. You may have also heard of the Madhu Vidya or Brahmavidya as possessed by Sage Dadhichi, which could enable one to attain immortality, or the Chyawanprasha prepared by the Ashvini Kumars to restore the youth of Sage Chyawan. These are not tales or works of fiction; the Vedic rishis were masters of creation, with the human body being a microscopic part of that. The proof that these were not fiction lies in the fact that most of the modern scientific discoveries have in fact come from the Vedic shastras.

“While most of the ancient vedic healing sciences are lost in the dust of kaliyuga and most herbs have become extinct, a fraction of them can still be accessed and even that fraction is enough to achieve amazing results,” says Ashwini Guru ji of Dhyan Ashram, having researched and practically experimented on the vedic sciences for over three decades. “The human body is not what you greet in the mirror every morning; there are multiple layers to it. And it is not the food and air that run your body; the body is governed by consciousness. Vedic masters were able to tap into this science of consciousness and affect changes in the body through that,” explains Guruji.

The Dhyan Foundation is a non-commercial, non-government spiritual and charitable body of volunteers and sadhaks coming from diverse faiths, cultures, geographies, and lifestyles who have come together to live and share the authentic path of yoga. The Dhyan Foundation teaches advanced yogic techniques, mantras, and meditation. As a precursor to these practices, karmic cleansing is essential. Hence, we devote our time and effort to the service of humans, animals, and the environment. They draw their inspiration from Ashwini Guru ji of Dhyan Ashram, who is adept in the ancient sciences of yogi, mantras, vedic martial arts, and energy healing and has translated the phenomenal power of vedic sciences into a routine experience for thousands of people who have been learning and following the various practices under him.

Guru ji details the secrets to the perfect health, glow, and radiance of Vedic rishis under the topic of Divya Chikitsa (Divine Healing). A special Divya Chikitsa Mantra Session is being held in Mumbai on December 22 from 4 pm to 6 pm and on December 23 from 10 am to noon.
