The probe agency had earlier questioned Kadam in the money laundering case registered against Parab and others in connection with the Dapoli resort fraud case.
Anil Parab has a resort in Dapoli which is allegedly illegal and Parab has also indulged in corruption to build it.
ED also intensified the investigation regarding this resort of Anil Parab.
The ED had called Parab in the alleged money laundering case in the Dapoli resort case. It is alleged that the rules of the Union Environment Ministry have been ignored to build the resort, due to which the Environment Ministry declared it illegal and also complained about this in the Dapoli Court.
Based on the same complaint, ED registered Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) and started an investigation into the matter.
In connection with the case, ED had earlier conducted raids at seven locations of Parab. Earlier, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya had informed that Dapoli Police agreed to consider his complaint and search for evidence against the unauthorized resort.
The government has declared its fraud forgery in the illegal construction of Dapoli Resort, Somaiya had informed.
In 2021, Kirit Somaiya lodged a complaint with then Union environment minister Prakash Javadekar against Parab accusing him of illegally constructing a resort in Ratnagiri during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Meanwhile, back in June this year, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had quizzed Parab in connection with an alleged money laundering case. He was summoned by the central agencies following raids at his properties in Pune and Mumbai in May 2022 after the agency filed a case under the criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The raids were carried out at Parab’s official as well as a private residence.
In September 2021, Parab appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai for questioning in connection with the bribery and money laundering case against the former home minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Anil Deshmukh.

The secretary of Karnataka’s Home department on Saturday called his counterpart in Maharashtra to resolve the state border issue, officials said.
According to sources, the Karnataka Home Secretary Rajneesh Goyal called his Maharashtra counterpart to ensure the protection of all Kannadigas in Maharashtra. Fresh Protests over the boundary dispute erupted on Friday during leaders and workers of the Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) inscribed the message ‘Jai Maharashtra’ on state buses in Karnataka.
Earlier, former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday slammed Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai over his remarks on the border dispute. “The Karnataka chief minister has issued a statement on the border issue. It seems like Karnataka CM has suddenly taken it upon himself to stake claim to 40 villages in Maharashtra,” Uddhav said. Speaking on th dispute, the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday attacked the ruling Eknath Shinde government in Maharashtra, saying it is because of a weak government in Maharashtra that the border dispute has erupted afresh.
“The Karnataka-Maharashtra border dispute has cropped up again because of the weakness and inability of the current government in Maharashtra to resolve it. This government has no idea about the state,” Raut told reporters.
Maharashtra’s Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar also condemned Bommai’s remarks on the border dispute between the two states, asking Chief Minister Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis to “give a strong answer”.
Ajit Pawar also sought the Centre’s intervention on the issue. The dispute made fresh headlines after Bommai indulged in a war of words with Fadnavis calling the latter’s earlier remarks on the dispute ‘provocative’. “Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has made a provocative statement on the Karnataka-Maharashtra border issue. However, his dream will never come true. Our government is committed to protecting the country’s land, water and borders,” Bommai tweeted on Wednesday evening. Fadnavis had earlier said no village in Maharashtra would go to Karnataka. “No village in Maharashtra will go to Karnataka! The state government will fight strongly in the Supreme Court to get Marathi-speaking villages including Belgaum-Karwar-Nipani,” he had tweeted.
‘Operation Octopus’ – the joint operation launched by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Jharkhand Jaguar in September this year to capture the heavily mined ‘Burha Pahar’ hilly range in Garhwa district of Jharkhand seems to have started yielding positive results. With security forces having set up their camps, the region is witnessing development.
From construction of roads to infrastructure for the supply of electricity in remote places, a series of development projects have been started. Inspector General of Police Jharkhand sector) Amit Kumar said ‘Operation Octopus’ launched by CRPF and Jharkhand Jaguar – a special task force of Jharkhand Police, in September this year to capture Naxal bastion ‘Burha Pahar’, has been successful.
“Our teams are in a dominant position, and we have successfully established control in the ‘Burha Pahar’ region, which used to be known as naxal corridor,” Kumar told to media.
“The operation will continue until we completely dismantle Naxal infrastructure in the region,” he said.
According to officials, the ‘Burha Pahar’ hilly forest terrain is spread over 55 sq km area bordering three states – Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar – and was used as a corridor by Naxals.
‘Burha Pahar’ region stretches across three districts – Balrampur, Latehar and Garwah – along Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand border. It was a stronghold of Naxals led by their leader Arvind. Attempts had been made in past to free the region from Naxals but the security forces did not succeed in taking hold of the region.
In 2008, five security personnel had lost their lives when the forces tried to penetrate the hilly forest range. “People in Naxal-affected areas are now getting benefits from health and education facilities and welfare schemes. These regions didn’t have basic infrastructure and amenities for the last four decades,” an official said.
IG Amit Kumar said that the ‘Operation Octopus’ was carried out by CRPF and Jharkhand Jaguar and they made four camps in Aurangabad in Bihar. The main operation was launched on September 4 and the security forces took over Burha Pahar on September 7.
“The second phase of the operation was held in September, where 4 camps were established in the region. Our forces are sanitizing the area and defusing the IEDs. Arms and ammunition of Naxals are also being recovered,” IG Kumar said while adding that 29 IEDs were recovered from the region.
Jharkhand is on the way to becoming Naxal-free. Main strongholds Burha Pahar, tri-junction of Chaibasa, Khunti and Saraikela and Parasnath Mountain are in our control,” he asserted.

Mohamed Drager took a shot at the goal in the 41st minute but the charge went begging as the Aussie defense blocked the kick.
Australia were awarded a free-kick in the dying minutes of the game which also resulted in a corner but the Tunisian defence line was alert to evade it.
The Congress on Saturday slammed Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari for not removing his footwear while paying floral tributes to the martyrs of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
Koshyari and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde paid floral tributes at the martyrs’ memorial in the premises of the Police Commissioner Office in south Mumbai in the morning.
Taking to Twitter, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) general secretary and spokesperson Sachin Sawant said removing one’s footwear while paying tribute is Indian culture and definitely the culture of Maharashtra.
“The governor has been repeatedly disrespecting Maharashtra, its culture and icons. CM Eknath Shinde should have reminded him to remove his footwear and show respect to the martyrs of the terror attacks,” Sawant tweeted.
Koshyari is already in the eye of storm for his recent remark in which he referred to Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as an icon of the “olden days”.
The governor has drawn flak from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT), who have staged protests across the state demanding his ouster.
