Twenty coaches of a goods train were derailed on the Deen Dayal Upadhyay junction to Gaya junction (DDU-Gaya) rail route.
The incident took place around 6.30 am near the Kumau station in Bihar’s Rohatas at the DDU-Gaya rail route.
“20 coaches of a goods train derailed on the DDU-Gaya rail route at around 6.30 am near the Kumau station (Rohtas district of Bihar) of DDU-Gaya rail route,” Indian Railway DRM DDU informed.

The cabinet of Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has decided to partially lift the ban on brewing, consumption, and sale of liquor to boost the state’s revenue and minimise health hazards caused by the consumption of illicit alcohol.

In a case of road rage, two men thrashed and kidnapped a businessman and took him to Jhajjar in Haryana from Delhi’s Paschim Vihar on September 17 where they abandoned him after trying to kill him.

Raju Srivastava, a veteran comedian who was admitted at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) had a heart attack on August 10 and was hospitalized after complaining of chest pain while running on a treadmill at the gym. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial military mobilisation, Russian state-owned news agency TASS reported, citing the Mash Telegram channel.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said he had signed a decree on partial mobilisation beginning, saying he was defending Russian territories and that the West wanted to destroy the country.

An auto-rickshaw driver allegedly raped a woman vendor near a railway station in Maharashtra’s Thane district, police said on Wednesday.
The incident took place on September 17 when the woman was selling cigarettes near a rickshaw stand located close to the Bhayander railway station, an official from the Mira Bhayander-Vasai Virar (MBVV) police commissionerate said.
The 28-year-old driver approached her and offered to buy all her stock. He then took the woman in the auto-rickshaw to an isolated place and allegedly raped her inside the vehicle, the official said.
The woman later complained to police, who worked on various leads including the CCTV footage of the area.
The police arrested the driver on Monday and registered a case against him under relevant provisions, the official said
Cricket Victoria has agreed to terminate the contract of former Australian pacer James Pattinson for the upcoming season. “Cricket Victoria can confirm it has mutually agreed to a termination of James Pattinson’s Victorian contract for the upcoming season,” said a statement from the state’s governing body of the sport on Wednesday.
32-year-old Pattinson informed Cricket Victoria of his desire to take an extended break from the game to spend more time with his young family and allow his body to recover after playing for Nottinghamshire in the English County Championship. The fast bowler was released by Nottinghamshire last month at his own request for fitness and family reasons.
“This decision has been a really difficult one for me given my how much I love playing for Victoria and have given it my all for the last 14 years,” Pattinson said.
“After the birth of our second child and my now well-documented injuries in recent years, it is the right time to take a break from the game. I owe it to my teammates and myself and at the moment it is clear I need the rest. It will also allow me to spend more time at home with our daughters.”
“Some of my fondest memories playing cricket have been for Victoria, the success we have had and the friendships I have made. The fire still burns deep in me but I am also honest about where I am at,” he concluded.
Pattinson made his Victorian debut in the 2008/09 season and was part of Victoria’s Sheffield Shield wins in 2014/15, 2016/17 and 2018/19. Graham Manou, Cricket Victoria’s General Manager Cricket Performance said:
