Javed Raza anti-piracy agent of Narain Pro Audio alongwith Mumbai Police raided Electrocraft store at Grant Road for selling duplicate amplifiers. The DB Marg police arrested the manager of the shop Maqsood Junagardwala.

Small businesses, knowingly or unknowingly buy counterfeit technology or equipment, and have to bear losses on account of breakage and unenforceable warranties.”
“Foreign investors are reluctant to invest when the return on investment of a new product becomes uncertain by unenforced intellectual property rights. These inferior quality products may even result into outbreak of fire as they are not BIS (Bureau of Indian standards) compliant” he added.
