A few days back, an FIR was registered against a senior Maharashtra IPS officer Sunil Paraskar after a young model accused him of rape and molestation last year. Now, it has been reported that model-turned-actress Poonam Pandey’s statement will also be recorded in this case.
It has also been reported in the media that Poonam’s role will be questioned by the Crime Branch, as the victim has claimed that it was Poonam who is behind all this, due to their professional rivalry. Further investigation is on to find out whether there is any truth in the accusations made by the small-time model.
In a city which boasts of providing complete protection to women, the Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria received a complaint by 25-year-old girl on Tuesday alleging rape and molestation charges against DIG Paraskar.
According to police, the victim met Paraskar in 2012 when he was Additional Commissioner of Police (North Region) in Mumbai with regard to a case. Since then he tried to be friendly with her, allegedly molested her once and raped her on the second occasion.
