Slum colony in Bhiwandi raided; two killed; six injured

Two young men from Bhiwandi were on Thursday brutally stabbed to death by unidentified persons in a slum colony in the powerloom town, police said.

According to PI Sanjay Satav at Narpoli police station in Bhiwandi, the unknown assailants attacked six members of a family in a slum colony in Valpada locality around 2.30 AM killing one person on the spot while another succumbed to his injuries on way to a hospital.

The deceased were identified as Agadh Munshilal Nishad (25) and Rambahadur Nishad (30), he said.

Among those injured seriously were a couple– Vijay Munshilal Nisad and Sarita Vijay Nishad–and their children who were shifted to Sion Hospital for treatment after being admitted to nearby IGM hospital.

The couple is said to be in a critical condition.

All the victims bore atleast a dozen stab wounds on their body, police said.

As per locals, the attack resulted from a land dispute case but the real motive is still not clear and probe is underway.

Narpoli police station said they have registered a case under various sections of the IPC against the unknown killers, for whom hunt is on.
