BMS grade students of Jai Hind college have taken initiative to promote the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan campaign by painting the wall of the institution and posting messages.
“The wall was in a bad shape earlier, we cleaned up the surroundings, repainted the wall to white and used our brushes and paints to beautify it” said Pranav Hiray a core member of the group.
It a public awareness campaign and students are not a part of any NGOs. They want to reach out to people to put forward the issues in an artistic manner.
“We are part of the Jai Hind College Festival called “Talash” for which the college is also supporting us. Women empowerment is the need of the hour. They need to be given the respect they all deserve. We are also spreading awareness about global warming issue” said Pranav
“We request every other college and students to come forward and take initiative and spread the message throughout the city. We have taken all necessary permissions from the BMC for the art and also they have assured us of not removing the paintings” he added.
