A 47-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly operating flesh trade racket from a flat in a residential complex in Naupada area of the city, police said today.
Police rescued two women from the flat after raiding it last afternoon on a specific information, said senior police inspector S I Shaikh.
Police seized cash worth Rs. 83,500 from the flat and a mobile phone.
The accused is identified as Aaarti alias Sonu Suhas Acharya.
She was booked under various sections of IPC and the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA).
