Three persons, including two women died and 6 others injured when the tempo, they were travelling overturned at Rahudgaon on Mumbai-Agra national highway near Chandvad, police said.
The occupants, mostly members of a catering firm, were travelling to Dhule when a car hit their vehicle from behind and the driver of the tempo lost control and it overturned, Chandvad police said.
The deceased were identified as Shantisharandas Varma (27), Nirmala Mistry, Basanti Patre (45), all residents of Dhule.
Injured were admitted to Malegaon civil hospital, police added.
