Two actors have gone missing and are feared dead after a stunt went haywire at Tippagondanahalli lake on Magadi Road, 35km west of Bengaluru, as reported by Times Now. The actors were performing the stunt as a part of their upcoming film ‘Masti Gudi’, that also stars Duniya Vijay. The actor is known to perform such stunts.

While filming the scene, Vijay and the two actors, Anil and Uday, jumped into the lake from a helicopter. While the lead actor swam ashore, the other two didn’t surface for a long time, post which a search party was immediately dispatched.

Divers and rescuers have been searching for hours for their bodies.

Some on the sets allege that the two men couldn’t swim well. The police believe unlike Duniya Vijay, they were not wearing life jackets.

Sources said, the film star had a safety vest, but Uday and Anil were not provided with the same.

A team consisting of expert swimmers are on the spot searching for the two men. Meanwhile, the actors’ friends said that the two of them were not expert swimmers.

Reportedly, only Duniya Vijay had a safety harness, while the other two didn’t. Whether this report is true or not is not yet known.

No ambulances or speedboats were on standby during the shoot.

Previously, yesteryear’s Malayalam superstar Jayan had also died in a helicopter accident in 1980 during the making of the film, ‘Kolilakkam’.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan had also incurred a near fatal blow, rupturing his intestines, while filming a crucial action scene for his cult film,
Coolie.
