Two persons killed in bomb explosion in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district

Two persons were killed while another was injured when a crude bomb exploded at Bindarpur village in Murshidabad district on Tuesday.

Police suspects the bombs were might be brought to be used in the Assembly elections.

Two of the victims were identified as Minar Sheikh and Bashir Sheikh.

The explosion occurred in Bharatpur area in the early hours of the day.

“They were making bombs when some of these went off, killing two people. Two others have sustained injuries,” superintendent of police C Sudhakar said.

The injured identified as one Azad Sheikh has been rushed to a hospital, he said.

Locals alleged that the incident was related to a conflict among two factions of the Trinamool Congress.
