A man was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district for allegedly submitting forged documents to get a passport, police said Tuesday.
Md Shafik was arrested from Jalalabad town Monday, Circle Officer Arvind Rathore said.
He was booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including cheating and using forged documents, he said.
The officer said he was caught with the fake documents during police verification.
